Since I am a food tour guide, here is what I would do as a 3 hour food tour in Sea Pines…enjoy!

Start your day of food at Harbor Town Golf Club restaurant, Links, An American Grill (https://www.seapines.com/dining/restaurants-bars/links-american-grill). Start with a cup of Lobster and Tomato Bisque ($9) and some sweet tea to remind you that you’re in the South! A good cocktail pairing here would be an Austin Eastciders Blood Orange ($9). Enjoy the view of a PGA Tour Event host, the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town, golf views, and maybe stop by the pro shop to book a time to play later in your stay (pricey but possible!), or just splurge on am expensive but worth it memento!

2. Next stop is a short drive to Low Country Produce (https://www.lowcountryproduce.com/) in The Shops at Sea Pines Center, but you have to get there by 2 pm since they close at 2:30, and no one wants to be “make the kitchen stay long” guy!
Order here is a Po Boy, with choice of sides ($17), the onion rings were GREAT! I also added a side of Hollandaise to mine, but the Tartar sauce woulda been plenty! On your way out check the fridge up front for a fun local beer to enjoy by the pool later!

3. Onto the next stop, another short drive, this time all the way to the Southernmost tip of the island to a family favorite, The Salty Dog Cafe http://www.saltydog.com/. This is where 33 years ago at Tommy’s party I asked my wife’s father, Ace, if I could marry his daughter lol…

The play here is the Lobster Grilled Cheese ($23) with choice of sides. If this is your only stop for the day I suggest starting with the She Crab soup (you can also make it a side with a slight up charge, which I usually do), I love she crab soup and they have some of the best on the island! Brunch here is great as well, although I had to give up on their Crab Cakes Benedict. I used to order it everyone as Crab Bennie’s are a fav of mine, but for some reason they can’t deliver a runny poached egg because food comes from a kitchen 100 yards away across a sunny deck…oh and as you can see in the background of the picture below, we love their hush puppies! They serve a breakfast version for breakfast and brunch as well, but we love the hush puppies from Salty Dog and we get them every time we go.

Another must do here is quickly make your way to the Salty Dog swag shop…super comfy clothes that are a mainstay of Hilton Headers wardrobes, you’ll start noticing them as you travel the world! They also have a great outdoor bar, and often have live music. on a sidenote, they’re happy hour cruise for Sunset is well worth the price and fun for the whole family.
4. Now jump in the car or on your bike for a 3 mile drive to Coast, Oceanfront Dining (https://www.seapines.com/dining/restaurants-bars/coast-oceanfront).

At this gorgeous spot we’ll have a refreshing cocktail, their Caribbean Punch (&14); RumHaven, orange juice, pineapple, grenadine, ginger beer, garnished with a pineapple slice.

All the food here is amazing, I had a perfect shrimp Caesar ($23), but the my son loves calamari so go for their Crispy CalamarI ($18):

5. Last stop, back to Harbour Towne for the grand finale at the recently remodeled Quarterdeck https://www.seapines.com/dining/restaurants-bars/quarterdeck?utm_source=google-gbp&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp.

were going to finish with their Not Your Grandma’s Key Lime Cheesecake ($12)! All the delicious flavors of Keylime pie with the creaminess of the perfect cheesecake makes for a great end to the day!

I will add one additional note about Quarterdeck, my wife was insistent that I mention their Charcoal Roasted Shrimp ($16.95)! She orders shrimp at almost every single meal when we’re at Hilton head, and insists the grilled shrimp here is the best on the island, and I can’t really disagree (the garlic toasted is served with his absolutely delicious.

I Hope you enjoyed my little suggestions here as you tour the beautiful island of Hilton Head, and specifically Sea Pines… I’ll add another post soon with my other recommendations outside of Sea Pines plantation there is great restaurants in Hilton head and we love sampling them all!
